5/23/06 - CarolynBible study class is very interesting and I look forward to coming each week. Right now, I'm there just to get input and absorb what others are saying and get wisdom of the Bible from Rev. Morris. I found that it's better to come to Bible study than to try to read and understand the Bible on your own, not knowing what in the world you're reading. Rev. Morris gives you understanding of the WORD. I hope to get wiser by attending Bible study classes. -- Carolyn Graham

3/22/06 – Gertha "I love Bible study! I have read the Bible through, doggedly reading on when I did not understand. My Bible refers me to support texts in other gospels or epistles or the Old Testament. But Pastor Morris takes me (us) to a whole new level. It's like a treasure hunt. The Word is examined inside and out until there is understanding, and we know that understanding is the beginning of wisdom. Everyone needs to come and share this wisdom. I wouldn't miss it." -- Gertha Smith

2/21/06 - Maxine Weekly Bible study has truly been a blessing to me. I realize there is so much available in God's word that we miss when it is not discussed in a group setting. The reality of the power given us through the Bible is made evident through Pastor Morris' in-depth teaching. I specifically, enjoy the study of Luke and how much emphasis is placed on how we should live our lives and treat others. We truly are living in troubled times, and Luke's message on redemption makes it evident that we should prepare ourselves and help others to prepare for life in His eternal kingdom. – Maxine Day

However, the messages I heard growing up become more crystallized as I learn the true meaning of the scriptures during our study. 12/06 – James "The reason I joined the Bible study class at Lane Tabernacle CME Church (My Church) is because knowing, practicing, and living the Word has been "missing in action" in my life. Ignorance of the Word of God for me, at this point in my life, is not acceptable. I Want & Need To Know "What Would God Do" to have better chance at peace. You see, I know that I'll find my direction out of various wildernesses with the help of the Lord by practicing His Word. Bible study has put me in better place of understanding and appreciating the Word. My appetite is healthy and feeding on the Word is satisfying my ever-growing hunger. The insight of the other participants and of the Pastor, plus his strong leadership, makes for a very pleasant and thought-provoking evening. I may be tired rushing there after work, but I'm simply relieved of my fatigue once we get started. If you have not attended, do yourself a Big Favor and "Try It, You'll Like It!" – James Balls
11/15 – Ruth "Whatever you are looking for, you can find it in the Bible. Bible study teaches me how to better understand and apply God's word. As 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I study so that I can rightly divide the word of truth. As I study the Bible, my faith grows and I am better prepared to please God. Won't you come and be blessed." - Ruth Collins11/8 – Mr. Ward"Bible study has allowed me to gain insights and understandings that could only come through personal interactions with an outstanding biblical scholar such as Pastor Morris. Bible study makes the Sunday sermons much more meaningful."- Clarence Ward
11/1 – Betty Hopson "I've read the book of Luke many times and each time I read it I learn something new. We studied Luke 7 this Wednesday and had a lively discussion about the centurion and his servant or slave. What's the difference between servant and slave? Do you know? The pastor asked us some thought-provoking questions and we really had to put our thinking caps on. Then we talked about the widow of Nain and her son. We learned about the faith of the centurion and how Jesus had compassion on the widow woman. Won't you join us this coming Wednesday for the exciting conclusion to Luke 7 and the beginning study of Luke 8? You will surely be blessed. Looking forward to seeing you there!" - Betty Hopson
10/25 – Peggy True Believers must make time in their schedules for studying the Word individually and collectively in a structured environment of the Bible class facilitated by the Pastor.
